HINTS BELOW:

Hint 1.

there is a pressure plate at the start. Step on it and you will see things change.

Hint 2.

there is a key on a table. Try to find out where to use it.

Hint 3.

the key can be used in the past. There weren't keycard readers back in the good old times.

Hint 4.

You will need to find a key in the next room.

Hint 5. You will need to drop the key at some point. The key can be picked back up in the time it was dropped in.

Hint 6. You will need to backtrack a little in order to progress.

Hint 7.

at the beginning of the 2nd room, there is a key card in the present.

Hint 8.

On the 2nd floor, you will need the key to unlock a door.

Hint 9.

You will need to bring the key card with you to the 2nd floor.

Hint 10.

Go to the past using the pressure plate in the room on the 2nd floor and open a door using the key card on  a key card reader.
